Angie Update

Wheels Of Justice

Angie Garbarino’s attorney has sent the city of Shreveport a settlement figure and a suggestion that a mediator be called in to hear the case.

Angie’s attorney, Gary Bowers, has not disclosed the monetary settlement he suggested. This is normal, however, so our curiosity will just remain unanswered. Hopefully his suggested settlement number in on the upper end of the scale.

The attorney hired by the city has confirmed receipt of this information, but has declined any further comment.

More to come…

Tobacco Alternatives

Something Else For Smokers

There are some interesting new products for smokers out there with a desire for non-tobacco smoke. These are legal bud herbal products that provide a more unique experience than common tobacco.

International Oddities is recognized as the true leader in the area of herb-based tobacco alternatives. They began working on these hybrid creations over 25 years ago and have developed some very interesting and enjoyable creations.

People who enjoy smoking shouldn’t believe that tobacco is the only legal smoke. The legal buds offered by International Oddities are preferred by many smokers when compared to tobacco, for taste as well as overall enjoyment.

Note, however, that there are many other companies trying to mimic International Oddities product offerings. You’ll find similar product names and websites that display similar graphics and text – sometimes exact copies – but they can’t match the quality provided by IO, and don’t have the experience that IO has in developing these smokes. If you are looking for legal bud tobacco alternatives, International Oddities should be your first choice based upon their established reputation and trust among similar smokers.

International Oddities also has great smoking supplies, such as original hookahs and rolling supplies. They are pretty much a one-stop shop for your herbal smoking needs.

Flying

It’s Never Easy

I don’t get it – right now I can find better flight deals to London than I can to New York City. Maybe British are more interested in my company than the Yankees are.

Actually, there are quite a few really great deals on airline travel right now, depending upon your destination and flexibility. Maybe that trip to Anchorage that I’ve been wanting to take will work out this year after all.

Light Em Up

Light Em up

Much Better

Well, I remodeled my entire house last night.

OK, not exactly my entire house.

Alright, it wasn’t exactly remodeling either.

But, it sure seems that way. We purchased and installed some new home lighting in three rooms (so far) and the difference is amazing. Along with the new paint that we recently applied, it’s incredible how different a room can look just with updated lighting.

Korean Food

Sort Of

You know, I never really wanted to be a farmer. But when all of our animals run out of pet supplies at the same time and I need to restock everything at once, it sure seems like I should be loading them into a barn instead of a closet.

Seventy pounds of dog food, twenty-six pounds of cat food, fifty-six pounds of cat litter, treats, nip…

All of this for animals that aren’t even edible. Well, unless properly prepared of course.

Issues 2008 - Part IV

Restoring National Defense

For far too long and at the cost of American blood and treasure, our great military has been too willingly and quickly used for purposes other than national defense. Our fighting men and women deserve better and the integrity of our nation must be restored.

Our National Defense policy must renew a commitment to non-intervention. We are not the world’s police force and our long, yet recently tarnished, tradition of respecting the sovereignty of other nations is necessary, not from only a moral standpoint, but to regain the respect of the world as a principled and peaceful nation.

The proper use of force is clear. If attacked, the aggressor will experience firsthand the skillful wrath of the American fighting man. However, invading or initiating force against another nation based upon perceived threats and speculative intelligence is simply un-American. We are better than the policy of pre-emptive warfare.

New York

New York

State Of Mind

I’ve been to New York City at least fifteen times so far. It might possibly be more than that actually because I first visited the Big Apple when I was about six years old. But, most of the visits to the city occurred when I was older since my wife is from New York and we have family and friends still there.

But, even with all of those visits there remain many things to do in New York that I haven’t yet found the time to enjoy, and in some cases have not even yet discovered. I’m not sure that it’s possible to fully experience everything this city has to offer, even if you live there.

Heck, I didn’t even get to Madame Tussauds until one of my most recent visit. Very cool place though, and I highly recommend it. Along with the other 8 million places to see and things to do in New York City.

If you’re not familiar with the city, or don’t know someone who is, your best bet is to look into the services of Trusted Tours & Attractions. They offer discounted tickets and online travel guides to the best sightseeing tours in New York, as well as every other major city in the United States. Certainly better than wandering around aimlessly, or even choosing your destinations, but planning your visit inefficiently.

Visit their website and sign up for their newsletter and you’ll have a chance to win a handheld GPS as well!

RIP George

You’ll Be Missed.

“If God had intended us not to masturbate he would’ve made our arms shorter.”

“The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I’m just not close enough to get the job done.”

“I have as much authority as the Pope, I just don’t have as many people who believe it.”

“Inside every cynical person, there is a disappointed idealist.”

As a final farewell to Mr. Carlin, I would just like to say…

  • Shit
  • Piss
  • Fuck
  • Cunt
  • Cocksucker
  • Motherfucker
  • Tits

Oh, and PS…

The Advantage

Better Car Rentals

It seems as though every time I travel for business I learn something new, and I’ve done quite a significant amount of business travel over the past ten years or so. My most recent learning experience was – when in need of a car rental, go straight to Advantage Rent A Car and bypass all of the hassles you’re bound to experience with the competition.

Of course, I learned this the hard way… Only after the company I originally had reserved a “full size” vehicle with could only provide me with a subcompact. I’m not sure they actually know the meaning of “reservation”.

Anyhow, Advantage bailed me out and earned my future business. Not only did they have the vehicle I originally reserved from the other company, but it was cheaper!

Heck, right now they have a special offer of up to 50% discount on luxury and convertible models. Hopefully they’ll still have that offer available the next time I travel.
