Mortgages And Houses

Mortgages And Houses

Many Opportunities

There are so many houses for sale in my area… Thanks to all of the free mortgage quotes online, people can easily run some numbers to see if any of these houses will be in their future.

My only regret is that I’m not in a position to purchase any of these fine properties myself. If only I knew for sure that I would be staying in this area long enough I would jump on a couple of these as investment properties.

It’s definitely a buyer’s market.

The Hike

The Best Days Or Our Lives

Father’s Day was perfect…

When I woke up this morning my daughters had already gathered up my Merrell shoes, the packs, GPS, food and plenty of Gatorade for a day of hiking.

The only the better than spending a perfect afternoon outdoors in the Georgia wilderness, is having my kids there to enjoy it with me.

I wish these days could last forever.

Lender Shakeout

Lender Shakeout

A Good Thing

While researching so possible moves in my financial position in the near future, I’ve found that there are fewer mortgage lenders than there were five years ago – the last time I had a need for one.

Obviously, the industry shakeout that has been, and continues to be, occurring has taken its toll on the lenders that operated under the shadiest business plans to begin with. This is a good thing. And I have no sympathy for those that are no longer in business.

Possibly we’ll see a good dose of business ethics returning to this industry.

Parties

Fun Once The Work Is Done

Time to order the party invitations for summer and fall…

We always have way too much going on during the summer months. Fourth of July Party at the lake. Labor Day cookout and party at my house. A birthday party for one of our closest friends at the beginning of August.

Actually, this wouldn’t be so bad if each party didn’t take so long to plan and organize. Maybe I just need a professional assistant…

Neighbor’s Little Helper

Neighbor’s Little Helper

Stacey’s Mom

While speaking with one of my favorite neighbors (yes, favorite = hot) at our pool she mentioned that she had been taking the diet pill Phentermine since spring.

Honestly, I was a little surprised because she always looks great, and I didn’t realize that she took any type of diet pills to help her out. Interestingly, there are other diet pills available that have a reputation for working better, and at a lower cost.

Oh well, it seems to work for her and she looks better than any of my other neighbors. I guess I won’t try to convince her to change what’s working for her.

Buying Witnesses

Buying Witnesses

Would You Expect Anything Else From Florida?

Just hours ago, prosecutors in the Victoria Lindsay beating case announced they are dropping charges against Cara Murphy, 16, Stephen Schumaker, 18, and Zachary Ashley, 17 - who had faced kidnapping and battery charges in the case.

The State Attorney’s office noted the same explanation for each of them, “Further investigation has shown that there is insufficient evidence to proceed with charges against the defendant.”

Can anyone say “state’s witnesses”?

Obviously, the state is gearing up for the criminal trials of the remaining defendants by securing testimony from these jackasses.

Tori has a lot of friends out there now though. I wouldn’t advise these three to stray far from the safety of their own homes.

Just sayin’…

It’s About Time

It’s About Time

Wish I Had One Of These

One of the many bad things about your children growing up is that you miss out on all of the really cool toys and kid gadgets that they’re now too old for. At least until the grandchildren arrive and you again have an excuse to buy these things.
Clock
One example is the cool new Teach Me Time Clock available at CoolStuffExpress.com. This talking alarm clock is an awesome educational kids clock, which helps them learn to tell time and provides visual as well as audio feedback.

My favorite feature - when the clock is green, it’s OK to get out of bed.

That alone would have saved many of those 6:00 AM Saturday wakeup visits from our kids back when they were younger.

Heck, this clock almost makes me want to talk to my wife about having another child…

Angie’s Ambulance

Angie’s Ambulance

Why So Secretive?

A small amount of news in the Angie Garbarino police brutality case…

Angie’s attorney, Gary Bowers, has filed a lawsuit against the city of Shreveport, asking a judge to order the city to turn over ambulance reports from the night of her beating at the hands of Shreveport police officer Wiley Willis.

Mr. Bowers has made seven requests for the medical records since February 2008. While the company that handles the city’s Emergency Medical Service records has cashed the checks for the copies, nothing has been turned over to the attorney.

Man, if I didn’t know better I’d almost be convinced that Shreveport is a corrupt city and there will be more cover-up in this case than Amy Winehouse would need to make her face presentable to the public.

Blog About Nothing will continue to follow this case and present the most biased and one-sided perspective you’ll find anywhere. Well, except for what’s in ex-officer Willis’ report that is.

California Auto Insurance

Shop Online

I thought my auto insurance was pretty expensive, until I learned what my friend is paying for her California auto insurance.

Now, granted, she does drive a sports car, but her record is clean. Without a doubt, if you live in California you definitely need to be shopping online for auto insurance.

OnlineAutoInsurance.com offers instant online quotes from top California insurers. This should be your first, and last, stop.

Bikini Help

It’s Out There

Summer is here. The pool is busy, and the beach is calling your name. It’s 90 degrees out and the bikini is right there, waiting for you.

But, something’s not quite right…

Oh, yeah, remember those pounds you put on over the winter months? Looks like most of them are still there.

No need to panic. Anoretix review and articles suggest that Anoretix is exactly what the bikini-doctor ordered. This is clearly one of the hottest new weight loss supplements.

You bikini, and the other beachgoers, will thank you for it.
