It Was A Good Run

The Boston Celtics left no question unanswered in Game 7 yesterday with their decisive win - or more approriately, “ass-kicking”. They finally lived up to their Number 1 status, and the Atlanta Hawks played on their Number 8 level.

Good luck Boston.

We’ll be back next year and hopefully will meet you in the post season again for a rematch.

No Hawks season is really a “losing” season though. We’ll always have the A-Town Dancers to hold us over until the next run at the championship.

Go Hawks!

Crunch Time

OK guys, the pressure is on. Lose tonight and the Cinderella story is over. The underdogs will have no choice but to go home with their tails between their legs.
A-Town Hottie
You’ve beat the Celtics twice during this series here in Atlanta, it’s time to do it again.

I am not ready to call the season over yet. I am not ready to say goodbye to the A-Town Dancers!

I understand that you’re tired. I understand that the Boston Celtics are a better team. However, that’s no reason not to win!

The Hawks were clearly the dominant force in games three and four. It can be done.

Go out there tonight and hand the Celtics an embarassing defeat. Push this to game seven and you’ll have earned the respect of fans across the country. Everyone expected us to lose this series in four games. You’ve already proven them wrong on that count, keep going!
A-Town Hottie

How many times do I have to say it? Don’t just play for the money. Don’t just play for the sake of playing. Play to win!

Back in childhood when you were told “Oh, winning isn’t everything. It’s how you played the game that counts.” - well, that’s bullshit.

It has nothing to do with “how you play the game”. You either win, or you’re a loser. And second place is just the first loser.

What’s that?

You say it looks like I’m trying to stretch this post out simply for the sake of posting more photos of Atlanta’s smokin’ hot A-Town Dancers?

Would I do that???

I mean, seriously… Do you think I’d just post a bunch of words here in this entry on Blog About Nothing, for not other reason than to make the post long enough to include extra photos of Atlanta’s finest hotties?

That’s practically insulting!

What kind of person would intentially pad a post with excessive words just so they could include the most sensual and beautiful girls in American professional basketball?

A-Town HottieBut, OK… Let’s just say for the sake of arguement that you are correct.

And, for the record, I am not saying that you are correct - just sayin’… Let’s maybe pretend that you are.

Just for a moment anyhow.

So, in this little fictional scenario that you’ve clearly just imagined, I am posting an extra long entry to ensure the inclusion of three photos of Atlanta’s finest…

Is that so wrong?

Is it wrong to admire and worship God’s greatest gift to the universe - women?

If anything, you should be ashamed of yourself for even thinking that its possible to “over expose” these incredible goddesses.

Whoa… Looks like I’m down below the third photo now. Time to wrap it up. But, that still doesn’t mean you were right.

And to the Atlanta Hawks… Do not allow the season to end for these girls! Um… I mean for yourselves!

See ya tonight.

Well, Crap

OK, so the results of the Celtics vs Hawks game last night wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for…

But hey, that was just a game. And we Hawks fans will never be losers as long as we have the A-Town Dancers.

A Sure Thing

Don’t Count On It

The Boston Celtics beating the Atlanta Hawks is a sure thing?

Yeah, kinda like how the Patriots winning the Super Bowl was a sure thing. How’d that one work out for ya Boston?

Game 5 tonight!

Amazing Statements

About Our Precious Little Snowflake

Some new and fascinating statements were released yesterday related to the Victory Lindsay case in Lakeland, Florida.

The statements indicate that Mary Nichols, grandmother of little skank Mercades Nichols, was troubled that her granddaughter was one of the eight teens participating in the beating of our favorite cheerleader.

Grandmother Nichols stated “I don’t care what anybody does, nobody deserves to be beat like that”.

Well, Gramdma, I respectfully disagree. Your piece of shit granddaughter deserved to be beat like that. In fact, if someone with parental authority had beat her like this during any of her previous outbursts, threats, or arrests, Victoria would not be suffering physically and emotionally as she is today.

Gramdma goes on to say that her granddaughter has “a lot of anger”, but that she has also “shown compassion for stray dogs and rabbits”.

What the fuck? Compassion for dogs and bunnies, but absolutely zero compassion for a fellow human being?

Little Princess

No Surprise Here

Well, well, well… It seems that precious little snowflake, Mercades Nichols, has a bit of a history of violence.

The Tampa Tribune reports that a former boyfriend of Miss Nichols – one of the pigs arrested in the Victoria Lindsay beating – obtained an injunction against her (Nichols) in the fall of 2007 for “dating violence”.

Mercades Nichols

The boyfriend requested the injunction because Nichols subjected him to violence and threats of violence after the couple’s break-up.

Furthermore, in February 2008, Mercades Nichols was arrested and charged with aggravated stalking and violating the injunction. Aggravated stalking is a third-degree felony.

The couple dated for about a year and were “very close”. After the break-up, relations grew tense and violent.

In the petition, the ex-boyfriend writes: “Mercades stabbed me with a pen [three times] in an attempt to recover a note written between us two. The note listed numerous threats of violence that she would unleash upon me after school. The note basically said that after school she would follow me home and a group of boys would jump me.”

Parents, there’s a lesson here…

First - don’t give your precious little snowflakes stripper names.

Second - discipline. Embrace it and instill it, or the courts will do it for you.

Third – if you can’t follow steps one and two, think “birth control”.

Contacting Victoria Lindsay

Contacting Victoria Lindsay

Don’t Be Fooled

There are a lot of good people out there, wishing to contact Victoria Lindsay, or her family - to send their good wishes, thoughts, prayers, or gifts. Blog About Nothing published Victoria’s contact information in a previous post.

But, I also want to help spread the word of caution… Just as with any highly publicized news story, there are plenty of people out there trying to take advantage of well-intended people. Not only do they hurt those trying to help, they also re-victimize the victim.

You are still very strongly encouraged to send some love to Victoria. But, be sure to use the right address (as was posted here previously)!

Following is a relevant news story, quoted verbatim, with a link to the original text. Be smart my friends, and be there for Tori.

From the Fox 13 - Tampa Bay website:

Beating victim’s family fears fake web pages

Last Edited: Monday, 14 Apr 2008, 5:58 AM EDT
Created: Sunday, 13 Apr 2008, 6:22 PM EDT

The family of the teen attacked by her classmates worry that some of the web sites saying they support her are actually scams asking for money.

MULBERRY - Almost a dozen MySpace pages have popped up, all claiming to be Victoria Lindsay’s official support page.

The problem is that there is no “official’ support page.

Her family says there are none, because they have set up no such pages.

And the bigger concern is that Victoria’s family says they have gotten word that some websites out there are seeking financial support for Victoria—websites that could be fraudulent.

They say they don’t want to give the impression that Victoria doesn’t need support, but sending messages, or even financial help to the wrong places is no help at all.

“I feel like she is being victimized again, but in a different way,” her stepmom Talisa Lindsay told FOX 13 at her home on Sunday.

They are concerned that people are being mislead, by sending their words of encouragement, and possibly even financial support to the wrong place. The Lindsays could use both.

Talisa says Vistoria’s world has been turned upside down since the video was released and has gotten world wide attention. It’s hard for her to go out in public without being recognized, something that is hard to take.

“It’s overwhelming to her,” said her step mom. “She is just a normal kid.”

Talisa says everywhere she goes, people see her as “that girl that got beat up.”

Along with trying to stay out of the spotlight, the Lindsays are dealing with another challenge.

“Right now, we don’t have the money for an attorney, and we really do need to get one,” Talisa said.

In the meantime, the family is concerned about possibly fraudulent websites, they have called in the cops to investigate.

The Polk County Sheriff’s office is under a gag order, so it can’t say anything about this specifically.

But investigators did offer some advice..

They say to be wary of anything on the net, no matter how legitimate it seems—because looks can be deceiving.

Spokesman Scott Wilder says the sheriff’s office will investigate any website that seems a bit shaky.

“And if they have committed a crime, we’ll close them down and make arrests,” Wilder said.

Victoria thought the beating was going to be the worst of it..

But now she feels a new pain because who knows how many people who think they’re helping her are being sucker punched themselves.

Victoria Lindsay Day

Show Some Love

I’m taking a break today from focusing on the criminal jackasses in Lakeland, Florida. Instead, let’s Let’s give some attention to the person who really needs it - Blog About Nothing’s favorite high school cheerleader, Victoria Lindsay.

I’ve contacted one of her friends and learned that a point of contact has been created for people that would like to send their best wishes. So, what are you waiting for?

Show some love to Victoria (Tori):

Tori
P.O. Box 131
Mulberry, FL 33860

Send her a letter, a card, or anything you can think of that would brighten the day of a typical 17 year-old girl who’s been through hell over the past few weeks. I know, you can’t fit a 17 year-old guy in the envelope, but I’m sure you can think of something… Let’s show Tori that there’s a lot of good people out there, and that the world is much bigger than Mulberry High School.

Florida Slime

Time To Clean It Up

A few more details emerged regarding the Florida slime – also known as April Cooper, Britney Mayes, Kayla Hassell, Brittini Hardcastle, Cara Murphy, Mercades Nichols, Zachary Ashley, and Stephen Schumaker…

It seems that at least the female portion of the group is well known for their bullying behavior in the area. This wont bode well for their defense – not that they have any defense to begin with.

After the beating and resulting “kidnapping”, Victoria was dropped off at a CVS store because future-stripper and degenerate Mercades Nichols didn’t want Nichols’ “Nana” to see what they had done. When they dropped the badly bruised cheerleader off, they gave her a drink and said “sorry”.

Touching…

Victoria called a friend, who picked her up. Once at the friend’s house, the friend’s mother – who is a nurse – either urged Victoria to call 911, or initiated the call herself.

By the way… This unidentified friend and mother – they both rock. Victoria needs more people like this in her life.

The friend’s mother later revealed - “My daughter, herself, has had trouble with these same girls. They’ve tried to run her off the road and everything. So I do know these girls.”

Where’s Darwin when you need him?

Sometimes You Need To

I’m not normally a fan of high-profile lawyer Gloria Allred – in fact, I generally despise her – but, I’m willing to make an exception in this case.

Ms. Allred has publicly confirmed that she is representing cheerleader and beating victim, Victoria Lindsay.

I only hope she’s as ruthless in seeking justice and compensation for Victoria as she is when seeking face-time on Fox News and CNN.
