Florida Slime

Time To Clean It Up

A few more details emerged regarding the Florida slime – also known as April Cooper, Britney Mayes, Kayla Hassell, Brittini Hardcastle, Cara Murphy, Mercades Nichols, Zachary Ashley, and Stephen Schumaker…

It seems that at least the female portion of the group is well known for their bullying behavior in the area. This wont bode well for their defense – not that they have any defense to begin with.

After the beating and resulting “kidnapping”, Victoria was dropped off at a CVS store because future-stripper and degenerate Mercades Nichols didn’t want Nichols’ “Nana” to see what they had done. When they dropped the badly bruised cheerleader off, they gave her a drink and said “sorry”.

Touching…

Victoria called a friend, who picked her up. Once at the friend’s house, the friend’s mother – who is a nurse – either urged Victoria to call 911, or initiated the call herself.

By the way… This unidentified friend and mother – they both rock. Victoria needs more people like this in her life.

The friend’s mother later revealed - “My daughter, herself, has had trouble with these same girls. They’ve tried to run her off the road and everything. So I do know these girls.”

Where’s Darwin when you need him?

Running With The Devil

Sometimes You Need To

I’m not normally a fan of high-profile lawyer Gloria Allred – in fact, I generally despise her – but, I’m willing to make an exception in this case.

Ms. Allred has publicly confirmed that she is representing cheerleader and beating victim, Victoria Lindsay.

I only hope she’s as ruthless in seeking justice and compensation for Victoria as she is when seeking face-time on Fox News and CNN.

Dumbass of the Year

2008 (…and so early in the year)

I’m sure everyone was excited to learn that all of the Lakeland Idiots – April Cooper, Britney Mayes, Kayla Hassell, Brittini Hardcastle, Cara Murphy, Mercades Nichols, Zachary Ashley, and Stephen Schumaker – have posted bail and have now been released from jail.

That’s too bad…

And we can thank the Dumbass of the Year, Dr. Phil McGraw (yeah, that Dr. Phil), for posting bail for Mercades Nichols.

It’s amazing what this clown will do for ratings. I thought he had hit rock bottom after stalking Britney Spears in the hospital, but I was wrong. I’m not sure if posting bail for little punk Mercades is worse than what he did to Britney, but it’s certainly on par.

Hopefully we’ll see a big drop in ratings for dumbass Dr. Phil. Judging from public opinion surrounding his latest stunt, I think he’s about 14 minutes into his 15 minutes of fame.

How I Spent My Spring Break

…and summer, and fall, and winter, and…

Gee, a couple of them are almost able to pull off the “sad face”. I wonder if reality is sinking in yet.

Punks

I’ve been debating with myself as to whether the posts about these idiots should be in the “Cheerleaders” or “Dumbasses” category. I’ve come to the conclusion that they will remain in the “Cheerleader” category.

While these posts have targeted the criminals involved, the real focus here is to support the victim - and cheerleader - Victoria Lindsay.

Oh, there will be a LOT more to come…

Bail Set For Dumbasses

The 8 Florida teens arrested for the video taped beating of Victoria Lindsay appeared before a judge today to hear the new, upgraded, charges against them, and to be given bail amounts.

County Judge Angela Cowden set bail on them at double the amounts normally set for the charges they face.

Seven of the eight are younger than 18, but are now being charged as adults. The six girls are April Cooper, 14; Britney Mayes, 17; Kayla Hassell, 15; Brittini Hardcastle, 17; Cara Murphy, 16; and Mercades Nichols, 17. The other two are Zachary Ashley, 17, and Stephen Schumaker, 18, who are accused of acting as lookouts during the attack.

Judge Cowden said bail on the kidnapping charges at $30,000 for each defendant, double the normal $15,000. Six received $1,000 bail on battery charges, and two, Hardcastle and Cooper, received $5,000 bail on that charge. Three defendants, Mayes, Hardcastle and Nichols, received $2,000 bail on witness tampering charges.

If they are released on bail, it will be on under house arrest conditions. They are banned from using any Internet forums, including MySpace and YouTube, and they are forbidden to have any contact with each other, the victim or victim’s family members.

Justice For Victoria Lindsay

A Cheerleader In Need

We’ve all seen it. We’ve all heard about it. The taped beating of 16 year-old Victoria Lindsay, a cheerleader from Lakeland, Florida. So, there’s no need for a back story here. Everyone knows the details, and everyone knows where to find the video clips.

Since the arrest of the 8 pigs who ganged up and beat Victoria, the first great news regarding this incident was released to the public by the state attorney’s office in Polk County, just a short while ago…

All 8 of these assholes are being charged as adults.

Say goodbye to your future, dumbasses:

Pigs

From what I’ve seen of the families involved, they would have all ended up in jail sooner or later anyhow. Best to just get it out of the way and let society move on.

The details, as reported by the Tampa Tribune:

A Tribune staff report

Published: April 10, 2008

LAKELAND - Eight teenagers will be tried as adults on charges including kidnapping in a beating that was videotaped for posting on YouTube and MySpace, according to the state attorney’s office in Polk County.

All eight face charges of kidnapping, which carries a penalty of up to life in prison, and misdemeanor battery, said Chip Thullbery, spokesman for the state attorney’s office.

Three also face a felony charge of witness tampering. They are Brittni Hardcastle, Brittany Mayes and Mercades Nichols, all 17.

The other defendants are April Cooper, 14; Kayla Hassell, 15; Cara Murphy, 16; and Stephen Shumaker and Zachary Ashley, both 18.

The eight are scheduled for a first court appearance tomorrow in Bartow, Thullbery said.

On Sunday, the sheriff’s office arrested and charged the teenagers in an attack on Victoria Lindsay, 16. The six girls, all students at Mulberry High School, took turns beating Lindsay, and the two men acted as lookouts, investigators said.

On Monday, the sheriff’s office released a three-minute clip of the video.

The girls had gathered at a Lakeland house to confront Lindsay about trash-talking them online, investigators said. The incident was recorded because the teens planned to post the video on MySpace and YouTube as retaliation, investigators said.

Today, a spokesman for YouTube said the company is removing copies of the beating video from the Web site, as well as any videos that provide personal information about anyone involved in the case.

Darlene Ashley, a Lakeland woman, said Wednesday that she’d received a number of threatening phone calls from people who mistakenly thought she was the mother of Zachary Ashley, one of the boys charged in the case.

Darlene Ashley’s phone number and address, along with those of the defendants in the case, had been posted on YouTube.

The beating video and the posting of any personal information both violate YouTube’s terms of service, according to a company e-mail.

Korea Does It Right

Bring It On

There is absolutely no doubt about it now. Korea has leaped past the United States on the world’s superpower list. The Koreans have implemented something that we have failed to do here for the past 100 years…

Cheerleaders in baseball.

Koreas Cheerleaders

While professional baseball is still in relative infancy in Korea, they have made the most important decision early in the game. The very first ingredient to add when attempting to create any successful professional sports league is the cheerleader.

It defies logic to limit our most beautiful and talented girls to professional football and basketball.

While we’re at it… It’s time to add cheerleaders to professional hockey as well.

Jennifer’s Body

I Love Possessed Cheerleaders

Here’s a movie that’s right up my alley…  Jennifer’s Body.

This new movie from screenwriter Diablo Cody (Juno) is expected to be released sometime in 2008 or 2009.

Jennifer’s Body is being described as a dark, supernatural, comedy, similar in tone to Heathers and Beetlejuice. The plot centers on a cheerleader who is possessed by a demon and starts feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town.

Her best friend must then find a way to stop her and, as I understand it, then escape from a correctional facility to go after the Satan-worshiping rock band responsible for Jennifer’s transformation.

It has also been confirmed that Megan Fox will star as the boy-killing cheerleader.

Mega Fox

Yeah, that Megan Fox.

UGA Cheerleader Update

UGA Cheerleader Update

Good News!

All of us UGA Bulldog fans, along with the rest of Christine Conley’s friends, family, and classmates had a bit of a scare last week during the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. During one of her routines, Christine appeared to fall from the arms of a male cheerleader and hit her head on the court.

The game between Georgia and the University of Iowa was stopped while medical personal attended to Christine, after which she was transported to the hospital was taken to the hospital.

The great news is that despite a “mild to moderate concussion”, Christine will be perfectly fine and has been released from the hospital.

We wish you all the best Christine!

Miss Conley was named Sports Illustrated’s cheerleader of the week in October 2006.
