Fall Out

Relax
It’s been an awesome summer – but I’m starting to see a few signs of fall in the air.
There’s nothing quite like kicking back in the patio chairs on the cool autumn evenings after a long day at work, just hanging out with friends and family while enjoying a few adult beverages (Oktoberfest!).
I love summer, the after a few months of constant 90 degree weather, it’s nice to have a comfortable break where you can relax and enjoy being outside.

Cool
Well, another weekend has come and gone, and one more item has been crossed off the To-Do List.
I’ve been replacing the cheap budget fans in my home with the much preferable Casablanca ceiling fans. Not only do they look a whole lot better, they’ll last much longer.
Like everything else on my list though, this project has been taking much longer than I had hoped. On the bright side, there are only two more left to swap out.

I Remember Her
Nothing brings back as many fond memories of high school quite like seeing a sweet teenage girl in her prom dress. There’s just something about prom that symbolizes all that was so great about those four short years (for most of us anyhow).
Sure, it was just one night combined with awkwardness, fun, excitement, embarrassment, and a few illegal activities.
Like I said, a representation of those four years of my life in one night.

No More Mysteries
With the abundance of exceptional quality digital cameras everywhere you turn – in cell phones, handheld game systems, security systems, and even… well… cameras, how can it be possible that we don’t yet have a high quality photo of Bigfoot?
Or aliens?
Or ghosts?
I really hope the digital age doesn’t take all of the fun out of life. This world is going to be a boring place if there are no mysteries left.
Never Pay Retail

Save Here, Save now
In my home everything coupons can be used for is what’s on the shopping list.
This extends to online shopping as well. Or, shall I say, especially.
One of my favorite sites for savings when shopping online is eBillme. They have “Featured Deals” and “Featured Coupons” for tons of great online retailers – and even the shops that aren’t listed in the “Featured” sections all have excellent money saving deals.
Seriously, you still pay retail?
The American Dream
August 6th, 2010The American Dream
It’s All Right Here
While there are some very legitimate arguments for traveling the world and visiting other countries, there are just as many, if not more, positive reasons to enjoy the breathtaking beauty that America has to offer us – both more affordably and safely.
I’ve travelled extensively throughout North America and have enjoyed many incredible experiences from the Pacific coast and the desserts of Nevada, to the shores of Key West and the rocky Maine shoreline. Each of these sites, and countless locations in-between, have all given me some great memories. But I’ve yet to find anything that compares to the spectacular experience provided by the Outer Banks in North Carolina.
Realistically, most of us don’t have the opportunity to take multiple travel vacations every year. In fact, most of us don’t even get the chance to take one each year. So, when you can travel, you want get it right the first time. Don’t take a chance on a hit-or-miss hotel at some location that may or may not be nice. Instead, shop the available Outer Banks vacation rentals from a reputable company like Carolina Designs, and book a “rental home” instead of a little hotel room. Whether you’re traveling as a couple, a family, or a group of close friends – you’ll have a more relaxing and enjoyable stay in a luxurious home than you would in a cramped little room.
The Outer Banks are the perfect destination for everyone.
The Atlantic coast provides endless enjoyment for families in need of a getaway. There’s plenty for everyone to do, including the children and the grandparents. Yet, there are ample offerings of complete relaxation as well, so you can slow down and enjoy some of the most beautiful surroundings in the world.
The Outer Banks aren’t only a destination for families, however. There are few places more ideal for putting that spark of romance back into any relationship as couples rediscover their love for one another, or for stoking the flames as newlyweds enjoy their honeymoon and begin their lives together.
You simply can’t go wrong with the Outer Banks.

Something Really Useful
There are a lot of cool ipod accessories around. I mean, the shelves in stores are lined with everything from hats and sweaters for your iPod to protective cases and awesome docking stations.
What I really want though, is some sort of add-on accessory that will read my brain waves and automatically select the songs I’m thinking about, and then add them to my playlist.
It will need to be smart enough, however, to not add the random 80s song that I have stuck in my head, torturing me, but DON’T want to actually hear.
Anti-Aging

Or At Least Hide It
I’m really starting to feel old. Worse, I’m starting to look old.
It looks like I’ll either need to sleep more, or I need to find the best eye cream available to take care of these dark circles under my eyes that are becoming more obvious with each passing day.
I used to be able to stay up until 3:00am every night, sleep for 4 or 5 hours, then get on with my day and I didn’t even look tired.
Guess it was bound to catch up with me sooner or later.
Your Mom

It’s Her Fault
I’ve decided that I’m going to blame my mother for all of my downfalls – after all, she brought me into this world.
I suspect that the lack of sufficient prenatal vitamins is somehow directly responsible for my inability to find my car keys, win the lottery, or keep my cell phone away from sources of water.
This is so much easier than that whole personal responsibility thing. I should have thought of this long ago.
Losing It
July 11th, 2010Losing It
Quick and Easy
I’m still trying to decide between increasing my level of exercise and simply getting my hands on the best weight loss pills available and skipping the exercise altogether.
Sure, the exercise method is the healthier of the two, but it’s also the one that requires the most work. Then, on top of the increased exercise, I’ll need to decrease my calorie intake – something else I don’t like doing.
Or, I could just say the heck with it – then go hang out in the hammock and not worry about any of it.
