Whoa… Just got the first pool party invitations of the year, and there’s still spots of snow on the ground.

Granted, it’s going to warm up quickly here in the south, but it just doesn’t seem possible that 2 months from now we’ll all be soaking up the sun and heat while enjoying our favorite adult beverages beside the pool.

And it definitely won’t be a day too soon.

Seriously, when I spend several hundreds of dollars on a new digital camera, it’s really a pain to have to purchase the memory card separately – if it’s even remembered at all.

I suspect that more often the purchaser fires up the camera to take those first photos, only to realize that they now have to go purchase a card.

Why So Elusive?

Why is it that my body fights sleep so much? Is it time for some natural sleep aids so I can actually get some rest?

It’s not a new phenomenon in my life. For many, many, years I’ve considered sleep to be my enemy. After all, you can’t make money when you’re sleeping. You can’t have fun while you’re sleeping. It’s just a useless waste of time.

The problem, of course, is that your body and mind do require the sleep. But it gets difficult after you’ve spent 20 years conditioning them to avoid it.

Sure, these things happen – and people around the world won’t stop living their lives when people suffer in seemingly faraway places, but it does make you re-evaluate your priorities. Or, at least it should.

Seriously, what is the best natural appetite suppressant that I can get my hands on to fight these late-night food cravings?

In preparation for spring, I’ve been exercising more and eating in moderation at every meal. Heck, I’ve even cut back on the adult beverages. But, every night just before bed, I feel like I’m starving and I start snacking on whatever I can dig up in the kitchen on short notice.

Then, of course, I go to bed. Probably the worst combination if you’re trying to stay in shape.

It’s a losing battle…

Perhaps I should clarify…

By “job” I mean something other than my current job. And, by something other than my current job I mean something really fun, like bartending in my own cabana bar on the beach in south Florida or somewhere equally tropical.

Maybe it’s time for a career change.

So, what’s the scariest part of life when your teenage daughter begins driving?

The jury is still out on this one. At first, I thought it would be the auto insurance quote I had to get from my current insurance company. But, actually, that wasn’t quite as bad as I was expecting.

So now, I’d say it’s a tossup between the near-misses with the mailboxes and the slamming on the brakes for the squirrel in the road (yet still a half-mile away).

Personally, I don’t see the point. While I have a bit less hair with each passing year, I just plan to shave whatever is left when it becomes bothersome to me. At least that way I’ll know that I don’t have any hair because I choose to not have any hair.
