Maybe it’s a guy thing… OK, it’s most definitely a guy thing…

But, there’s something about military and police gear stores that just draws me in. Then, that little voice in my head starts in with the “Dude, check out the Blackhawk holsters… and the new watches and boots”.

Next thing I know I’ve got my credit card out and a pile of things that I absolutely must have. Especially when I’m shopping at lapolicegear.com.

My current visit brought me to the Luminox watches in their online store. I have a Luminox Navy Seals watch that I bought about 4 years ago and absolutely love it (I highly recommend Luminox to everyone, by the way). I have no intentions of replacing this awesome watch, but I did manage to break the unbreakable watchband so I was checking for availability… Then I saw all of these other great Luminox watches.

Oh, and of course, that Blackhawk holster.

I think I need to raise my credit limit.

Something Else For Smokers

There are some interesting new products for smokers out there with a desire for non-tobacco smoke. These are legal bud herbal products that provide a more unique experience than common tobacco.

International Oddities is recognized as the true leader in the area of herb-based tobacco alternatives. They began working on these hybrid creations over 25 years ago and have developed some very interesting and enjoyable creations.

People who enjoy smoking shouldn’t believe that tobacco is the only legal smoke. The legal buds offered by International Oddities are preferred by many smokers when compared to tobacco, for taste as well as overall enjoyment.

Note, however, that there are many other companies trying to mimic International Oddities product offerings. You’ll find similar product names and websites that display similar graphics and text – sometimes exact copies – but they can’t match the quality provided by IO, and don’t have the experience that IO has in developing these smokes. If you are looking for legal bud tobacco alternatives, International Oddities should be your first choice based upon their established reputation and trust among similar smokers.

International Oddities also has great smoking supplies, such as original hookahs and rolling supplies. They are pretty much a one-stop shop for your herbal smoking needs.

Restoring National Defense

For far too long and at the cost of American blood and treasure, our great military has been too willingly and quickly used for purposes other than national defense. Our fighting men and women deserve better and the integrity of our nation must be restored.

Our National Defense policy must renew a commitment to non-intervention. We are not the world’s police force and our long, yet recently tarnished, tradition of respecting the sovereignty of other nations is necessary, not from only a moral standpoint, but to regain the respect of the world as a principled and peaceful nation.

The proper use of force is clear. If attacked, the aggressor will experience firsthand the skillful wrath of the American fighting man. However, invading or initiating force against another nation based upon perceived threats and speculative intelligence is simply un-American. We are better than the policy of pre-emptive warfare.

State Of Mind

I’ve been to New York City at least fifteen times so far. It might possibly be more than that actually because I first visited the Big Apple when I was about six years old. But, most of the visits to the city occurred when I was older since my wife is from New York and we have family and friends still there.

But, even with all of those visits there remain many things to do in New York that I haven’t yet found the time to enjoy, and in some cases have not even yet discovered. I’m not sure that it’s possible to fully experience everything this city has to offer, even if you live there.

Heck, I didn’t even get to Madame Tussauds until one of my most recent visit. Very cool place though, and I highly recommend it. Along with the other 8 million places to see and things to do in New York City.

If you’re not familiar with the city, or don’t know someone who is, your best bet is to look into the services of Trusted Tours & Attractions. They offer discounted tickets and online travel guides to the best sightseeing tours in New York, as well as every other major city in the United States. Certainly better than wandering around aimlessly, or even choosing your destinations, but planning your visit inefficiently.

Visit their website and sign up for their newsletter and you’ll have a chance to win a handheld GPS as well!
