Renovation The Easy Way
I’ve been documenting some of my various home renovation projects here on Blog About Nothing, and on one of my other websites. It’s been a lot of hard work so far, and has consumed a lot of “free time” (I kind of remember what that is…). And, of course, money. Quite a bit of money in fact, but at least it’s for the enjoyment of my entire family, and is building upon the investment my wife and I have made in our home.
But, our renovation project could certainly use a super boost of adrenaline at this point, in the form of the $20,000 Home Makeover promotion from Renuzit Triscents. This would be an awesome prize to win at this point in our project, and would take care of the entire next phase of the renovation – remodeling the family room.
For the most part, we are renovating one room at a time – unless the required work doesn’t permit us to do so. We’ve found the inconvenience to be more tolerable when only one room is not usable for any period of time. Coming up very soon will be the family room – and Renuzit TriScents could make that the most enjoyable part of our ongoing remodeling and renovation.
Our family room isn’t really in bad shape, and that’s the reason we’ve put it off for a while and have addressed more pressing concerns. But, it does have the same carpet we had in it when we bought the house 10 years ago. It does have a fireplace that needs some work, along with a chimney that needs a new cap. And, because the fireplace is used quite extensively, the paint has grown discolored and dull.
The family room is also the central point of our home, and where we, as a family, spend most of our time – whether reading, talking, watching TV, playing video games, or writing this blog on my laptop, the room gets plenty of use.

Three kids (including two teenagers), a large dog, and three cats… All of which play, eat snacks, and sometimes sleep in this room.
