Shouldn’t Feel Like A Desert
My wife and my two teenage daughters all wear contact lenses. Over the years, I’ve heard all of the common complaints from each of them, with the universal complaint being about dry, irritated eyes. This is especially true during “allergy season” – which in the Atlanta area is the majority of the year.
During the winter, our optometrist changed the prescription for one of my daughters to the Acuvue Oasys lenses. If memory serves correctly, the Acuvue Oasys was a relatively new lens at the time. This is not a lens that any other of my family members was wearing, so I did a bit of research.
The Acuvue Oasys lenses use something called “Hydraclear Plus” technology, which helps eyes stay moist and fresh. This likely is the main reason they have become the #1 lens in America – because they relieve contact lens wearers from the most common discomfort – dry, irritated eyes.
What I do know personally is that only one person in my family hasn’t complained at all this spring, even during the peak of the pollen season… The one wearing the Acuvue Oasys lenses. Now my wife and other daughter both plan to change to the Oasys during their next visit to the optometrist.
Of course, we will continue to purchase all of our contact lenses from 1-800-GET-LENS. With three lens wearers, we save a lot of money ordering direct, and save the hassle of driving to the optometrist for refills.
