Job of the Future?
I’ve been an IT professional for the better part of three decades. Computers are my profession, as well as my hobby. Much of what I know is self-taught, not so much out of necessity as out of my own interest.
Many people have asked me over the years, “How can I become successful in the Information Technology field?” or “What’s the best area of IT to study for future growth opportunities?”
To me, that answer is easy and obvious: Information Security.
There’s a reason why we’re seeing growth in offerings from Information Security Colleges around the country. The need for skilled professionals to keep electronic data safe and secure has become one of the top priorities of many companies.
Lewis University, for example, offers an outstanding online Master of Science in Information Security degree program. Given the affordability of this online program, it would be an obvious choice for anyone interested in an IT career with outstanding growth potential.
