Mr. President, why did you enact the $490 billion FY09 omnibus spending with its over 8,500 earmarks behind closed doors, despite campaign promises to end earmark abuse?

    I have noticed the President’s use of ahhs and ummm since the campaign. As a former long-time member of Toastmasters, it drives me crazy. We called them “filler words.” One should just take a breath and be silent for a second or two.
