Crazy Talk

Or, Maybe Not

I’ve been keeping this inside for too long now… This is not a statement I have been able to make for quite some time. A very long time in fact. And that extended period of silence has instilled subliminal negative coonotations associated with uttering such a statement publicly – namely that I’m insane.

But, now I can say it openly without fear of ridicule. I can finally come out of the closet and say:

The Atlanta Hawks are in the 2008 NBA Playoffs.

Wow…

That felt kind of weird, yet liberating.

While I hold no illusions that they will go very far in the playoffs this year, maybe this is a sign of the times to come.
