Got Gas?

Enjoy It While You Can
Another day, another price increase for a gallon of gasoline.
Just want to say thank you for that, Mr. Obama.
The price of gas has rising steadily, on a daily basis, over the past 2 months. However, unlike in the past, demand is NOT increasing. In fact, demand is decreasing.
The current price increases are a direct result of continued increases in the price of crude, with crude oil itself responding to a flight from the weaker dollar on the expectation of rising inflation from federal monetary policy.
Once again, as soon as the federal government gets involved, the shit hits the fan.
Oh, you’re going to love that nationalized healthcare…

I’ve Got Gas
Mr President, I’ve noticed that retail gasoline prices have been climbing upward since you took office back in January.
Now, I know you don’t directly control the fuel prices, but since your disciples were quick to blame President Bush for that last run up, I assume that you must have some magical answer for the problem of these rising energy prices.
Can we have your input, sir?

Fill It Up
November 14th, 2008Fill It Up
Early And Often
I never thought it would happen… But I’m actually enjoying the whole “fill it up” process at the gas station.
It seems that in my mind, the $2.00/gallon mark is the line between “Oh cool, let’s go drive some more” and “Man, I feel like I’m going to puke” when filling up.
$2.01? Way too much. I’m not going anywhere.
$1.99? I think I need a larger car.
If gas ever touches $.99/gallon again, I’m just going to buy a firetruck or something.
The Gas Chamber
April 29th, 2008The Gas Chamber
Are you a voter?
Next time you’re bending over at the gas pump, keep thank you Democrat-controlled congress for:
- Opposing opening Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Reserve to oil and natural gas drilling.
- Opposing the expansion of the nation’s oil-refining capacity.
- Opposing the development of nuclear power plants.
- Opposing the investment in clean energy technologies.
- Opposing the elimination, temporary or otherwise, of the federal gas tax.
Be sure to thank them in November!
Free Gas

Because Morons Need Gas Too
A few days ago I read a report that gasoline thieves are resorting to “drilling holes in gas tanks” of parked vehicles, then collecting the free-flowing gas.
Am I the only one thinking this problem will pretty quickly resolve itself?
Sure, it might work a few times, then Bubba will simply see an extremely bright flash, feel some intense heat, and will meet Jesus. This, of course, will present that awkward moment where he has to explain to Jesus what he was doing under that stranger’s car with the drill and the drip pan.
I’m certain that as the price of gas continues to rise, we’ll see more and more of these “ingenious” schemes revealed. I just hope some of them are caught on video.
