We Still Love Tori
Thanks to Christina for reminding me about the Florida animals – known around the world for the beating of our favorite high school cheerleader. These scumbags have also been referred to here on Blog About Nothing as the Florida “Punks”, “Dumbasses”, “Pigs” and a few other choice names that you’ll just have to read again to learn my true feelings about these, um, precious little snowflakes.
Trust me, I’ve actually held back much of what I was thinking.
Anyhow…
The news is – no real news, yet.
The criminal cases against Brittini Hardcastle (18), Mercades Nichols (17), Kayla Hassall (15), April Cooper (15), and Brittany Mayes (17), continue to move forward, slowly, as they face charges of battery and kidnapping related to the beating. Nichols, Mayes and Hardcastle also face a charge of tampering with a witness.
All five are out on bail.
No trial dates have been set, however pretrial hearings are slated for November 18, 2008.
In a shock a revolation to absolutely nobody whatsoever, Brittini Hardcastle’s lawyer has requested that her client’s curfew be extended so… no, wait… (…drum roll…) she can attend church two nights a week.
Church?
If anyone chooses to believe in an invisible wizard who lives in the sky, I fully support that – no matter which version of that wizard they choose to believe in. But, don’t you think that He gets very perturbed that most of His followers come to Him while awaiting sentencing for some heinous crime that may lead to life in prison?
I mean, you never find non-believers out there picking flowers in a meadow on a sunny day, watching the butterflies flutter amongst the delicate petals, and all of a sudden announce that they now believe in God and will be committing to a life of goodness.
Nope. Instead, the shining light – apparently – only comes to you after you’ve completely fucked up your life.
I don’t know, if I were God, this would just really piss me off. Hmmm… Maybe that’s why He created Ebola.
Well, I hate to break the news to you Brittini, but I have pretty direct contact with God and He’s told me that he’s not interested in your soul.

Are You Surprised?
In my previous Victoria Lindsay related posts, I noted that the sentence imposed for the eight jackasses arrested in this case would be somewhat irrelevant, as they will all end up back in jail for various other offenses anyhow. In other words – a complete waste of life.
Well, it didn’t take long at all to prove I was right (but, when am I not?).
The award for Top Dumbass goes to eighteen year-old Mr Stephen Schumaker, originally accused of serving as a lookout during the beating, and charged with felony counts accordingly. It seems that this dumbass is back in jail, booked into the Polk County jail last Tuesday and charged with driving with a suspended license.
So, who will be next? Any guesses?
Put me down for $20 on Mercades Nichols, who I predict will violate her pre-trial conditions before long.

Keep Supporting Victoria
The prosecutors in the Victoria Lindsay beating case have released some additional photographs and videos as part of the discovery phase of the case. This is the point in the case where the prosecution must share its information with the defense (good luck trying to “defend” this one).
As a reminder… I make no claims to unbiased posts regarding this case. I support Tori 100%, just as I’m sure everyone else does. And the benefit of not claiming “fair and balanced” posts about this, or anything else you will read on this blog, is that I can say I very much look forward to laughing at the little fuckers that did this to Tori when each of them are sentenced to prison on the felony charges they’ve been presented with. They are all going to meet some very unfriendly people behind those bars. If only we could see photos and videos of what they are going to look like after their prison “greetings”.
People need to remember what happened here, and keep this in the spotlight. Friends of Tori – which number in the thousands now – need to continue to support her. And we need to push the prosecutors to fight for stiff sentences in this case. The felony charges levied against the morons in this case… Oh, and let’s name them again… April Cooper, 14; Britney Mayes, 17; Kayla Hassell, 15; Brittini Hardcastle, 17; Cara Murphy, 16; Mercades Nichols, 17; Zachary Ashley, 17, and Stephen Schumaker, 18… all carry up to life in prison. While I think most reasonable people would agree that life in prison would be a bit harsh in this case, a good solid year in jail followed by about 10 years of probation would seem fitting for the crime. You know that each of these little punks will violate that probation anyhow and will end up back in the slammer before long.
And, Brittini Hardcastle… There’s a special little place in hell reserved just for you.
To all of the cool people in the world – Keep showing your support for Tori. Just because some time has passed does not mean that she no longer needs us. Send her letters, cards, and anything that will bring a smile to her face:
