Julia Fullerton-Batten

February 13th, 2008

Every once in a while, I stumble upon an artist’s work which draws me in and wont release me. An artist with the mind and the talent which allows them to create fascinating pieces to share with the world. These artists can be painters, photographers, musicians, and actors amongst others.

When I run across one of these exceptional people, I like to spread the word so that others will have the opportunity to enjoy the same artistic works that I have, as well as to show appreciation to the artist.

With that said, if you have any interest in photography, you owe it to yourself to experience the work of Julia Fullerton-Batten.

Julia is an amazing young photographer, currently living in England. Chances are, you have already seen some of her professional commissioned work - in American Express and Ikea commercials for example - but her best work, in my opinion, is her non-commissioned photography.

There’s plenty of information about Julia on her website, including her background, the dozens of awards she has won, and the publications in which she has been profiled.

You are encouraged to enjoy a much greater sampling of Julia’s photographs, covering a far wider range of themes, by visiting her website at juliafullerton-batten.com. Or, better yet, visit a gallery presenting her work if you ever get the opportunity.

If you are a fan of the darker genres, you will be interested in some additional photos from Julia currently posted on Death Etc.
